Tandoori Chicken

Make Tandoori Chicken in your Ninja Foodi! Originally roasted in cylindrical clay ovens, the chicken is marinated in  yoghurt, lemon juice, and aromatic spices. With a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer, nothing can stop you from making this exotic dish that came from the Indian subcontinent. 


2 lbs chicken thighs(legs can also be used)
1 tbsp ginger, crushed and minced
6 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp tandoori paste or powder
1 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric
1 cup greek yoghurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp ghee


  1. Cut some slits on each chicken thigh
  2. In a large bowl, rub chicken with all of the ingredients except ghee
  3. Let marinated chicken sit for an hour
  4. Place chicken in Air Fryer Basket and spray or coat with ghee.
  5. Secure the crisping lid and set to AIR CRISP at 400°F for 20 minutes. Select START/STOP.
  6. Flip chicken after 10 minutes.
  7. Make sure that the chicken is cooked. If not, air fry both sides for a few more minutes.
  8. Serve with white rice.
