Goat Curry

In India, goat meat is also referred to as mutton, so don’t be confused. This Mutton or Goat Curry is a simple approach to an otherwise complicated dish. Goat meat is delicious and is terrific with white rice.


4 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
3 onions, thinly sliced
3 tomatoes, diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
2 potatoes, cubed
1 large carrot, sliced
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp garam masala
2 pounds goat meat, cubed
1 cup water
salt to taste
1 tsp ground red chili pepper


  1. Set Ninja Foodi to SAUTE, heat oil and stir fry onions, garlic, tomatoes, and ginger.
  2. Add goat meat and stir fry for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add remaining oil and stir fry potatoes, carrot, cumin, turmeric, coriander and garam masala.
  4. Keep stir frying for 2 more minutes then add salt, chili pepper and water.
  5. Secure Pressure Cooking Lid and make sure the vent is on SEAL.
  6. Set to PRESSURE COOK for 50 minutes.
  7. Once cycle is done, quick release the pressure and open the lid once all pressure has been released. 
  8. Serve and enjoy.
